Slalom
Mold Canoe Club has a strong slalom section with paddlers who do it for fun, and with paddlers who compete in the national leagues. Both the winner and runner up of the Canoe Wales 2022 Paddler of the Year come from the club, and both are the youngest recipients since the awards started.
In slalom, the challenge is to get down a set course in the quickest time possible whilst negotiating a series of gates that give you penalties if you touch them.
We run a series of very popular paddle slalom events during the year, in conjunction with North Wales Slalom which are open for all ages and abilities.
We also have several Mold Canoe Club members on the Canoe Wales Slalom development squads.
